Michael D. Dolenga (mdolenga@dolengalaw.com)
Michael Dolenga is the managing partner of the firm. Michael has a civil litigation practice, with an emphasis on the defense of medical malpractice, general liability and commercial/consumer claims.
Michael graduated from Michigan State University, James Madison College, with honors in 1990. He had a dual major in Political Philosophy and History. He then graduated, Cum Laude, in 1993 from the Detroit College of Law. While attending law school, Michael worked as a Para-professional at different civil litigation firms.
Michael began his legal career as an associate with DeNardis, McCandless and Muller, P.C. where he worked as a Civil Litigation attorney. He primarily represented Plaintiffs and Defendants in personal injury actions. Michael then became an associate with Robert F. Riley, P.C., where he concentrated his practice in the defense of personal injury, professional liability and commercial/consumer litigation. After a few years Michael became a partner, and the firm later changed its name to Riley, Hurley and Dolenga, P.C. Michael left that firm in 2000 to start Dolenga & Dolenga, PLLC.
Michael currently concentrates his practice in civil litigation. He represents businesses, hospitals, manufacturers, physicians and individuals in a wide variety of matters. He is primarily involved in personal injury, commercial, consumer and general liability claims. He represents individuals and business throughout Michigan and the United States, and he serves as regional, state and national counsel for several major corporations.
Michael is also highly involved in Alternative Dispute Resolution, including serving as a neutral case evaluator, facilitator and mediator. In fact, he was one of the first individuals in Michigan to become a mediator certified by the Supreme Court Administrator's office. He is appointed by various courts to serve as a mediator, and he is often hired by attorneys to serve as a mediator, facilitator or arbitrator.
Michael is a member of the American Bar Association and the State Bars of Michigan and Colorado, as well as the District of Columbia Bar. He is also active in the Detroit Metropolitan Bar Association and Oakland County Bar Association, as well as various sections of bar associations related to A.D.R., litigation and medical malpractice.
